There is no denying to the fact that the Corona Pandemic has wreaked havoc all over the world and has affected every sector. It also had a profound effect on daily life and the economy across Pakistan. Since last eight months, there has been an irreparable loss of education, the closure of all educational institutions for six months, the cancellation of matriculation and intermediate examinations were the demand of time, circumstances and health.
In such a situation, university students were thrown out of the milk like a bee. An additional burden of online classes was added. Many students studying in universities belong to backward areas where there are even no mobile signals. And the situation of students living in cities is not much different, after the hefty fee of universities, expensive internet packages on a daily basis became a mountain for parents in the time of unemployment.
In doing so, six months passed and a semester got completed, in which the students learned nothing but received vouchers of fee for the next semester, and also the good news of the opening of educational institutions, but still NO mercy on university students. Only students of first and last academic year were allowed to come to universities and after receiving full fee from the rest of the students, they were re-engaged in online classes and even today when there are a number of processions and rallies going on in the country where millions of people are present, the students are taking online classes.
It is our foresightedness that millions of people can attend political rallies in a field that would be less than half the size of any public university. But four to five thousand students are not allowed to come to a university for education.
Everything has moved on, but the university students are still where they were eight months ago, No one cares about the zero learning in online classes, not even teachers, they are being paid while being at home, so who to worry.
Rest in Peace to University Students, Your Education and Your Future.
