Life is better when you just keep swimming!

You can’t deny the fact that sometimes, it feels like things aren’t working out the way you want. That the whole universe is against you. That your life is a complete mess, and your only wish is to experience success. Have you ever felt discouraged just because you failed, maybe once or twice? Well, you’re not alone!

I remember when I was in college, I go through times where I feel like it’s all too hard, that it would be easier to just throw in the towel. I had known that my percentage was on the low side, I immediately felt shame and failure. Academically I was not always the strongest, but I tried my hardest to get decent grades. I was confused, sad, and embarrassed. I couldn’t return to back my life for a whole year. I felt as though the end of my future had come.

When life gets you down, Do you want to know what you have gotta do? Just keep swimming ~Dory.

Failure after failure. In fact, it even seemed like it was endless! I  could’ve quit many times, but I chose not to. Though, I never gave up. Everyone used to say you should stop education Instead, I ignored those criticisms. This experience was humiliating and embarrassing. Although, I didn’t allow these obstacles, trials, and challenges to defeat me. This didn’t stop me from dreaming big.

Somehow I managed to graduate from a prestigious college and entered a life of journalism. Instead of letting my impairment make me appear weak, I emerged as a better person. It was overwhelming when I reached success while also working and doing some hard thinking, I’m extremely happy to return to my happy go lucky life.

Whoever said students who take a gap year and don’t go back doesn’t know what they’re talking about, because I was back and thrilled! In these scenarios, I like to remind myself of just how far people have come to reach success. I get inspired by reading stories of entrepreneurs, inventors and leaders and how they overcame many failures and rejections. Even the series that we love today?

The first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone faced twelve rejections before it managed to become a successful hit. Her determination took her from rags to riches. She’s a great example that anyone could attain great success even against all odds.

In my perspective, Failure isn’t that bad. In fact, you could even learn from it. Your failures should be your stepping stone to greatness. It doesn’t matter if you’re poor, your parents are irresponsible, you’ve been sexually abused, or people judged you because of your skin color. Don’t let these things drag you down. We all know that overcoming failures is not a piece of cake. So think again!

Life is a game of ups and downs, an emotional roller coaster ride, many of us were not born with a silver spoon in our mouth. Never stop trying because no one knows tomorrow, everyone can speak anything upon you because speaking is upon the size of the mouth, but consider such word as a mere story and not a real next, who’s power to determine tomorrow remained only to God so don’t fear because no one is perfect. If your too busy waiting for people to help you out?! I feel sorry for you! Don’t wait for nobody to push YOUR DREAMS! It’s YOUR life! Stop looking for handouts! Do your leg work and leave it to God!. You can’t please everyone, Do it for yourself.

As a matter of fact, I experienced so many failures, but that didn’t even tempt me to give up. I was literally and figuratively broke, all I had was his dreams and aspirations. Despite several failures and circumstances, It doesn’t mean that success would be out of reach. Hence, with deliberate determination, anything is possible. So, I gave a life time note to myself, “Don’t be a quitter and  persistence is the key!”
