Prime Minister of Pakistan has fetched international fame yet again. He indeed did not lose his charisma at international forums. He shines the same way as he used to. Imran Khan’s current visit to Davos to attend World Economic forum (WEF) session has once against brought him to the limelight. He spoke with the same tone that every Pakistani wants to hear.
Imran Khan met various international personalities including president of IMF, COO of Facebook, officials from SAP, and most important of all president of the most powerful state of world United States of America Donald Trump. He met with political heads of various states.
Imran Khan’s foreign policy stance is exceptional. He has portrayed Pakistan a peace loving, war-bitten state which is not going to become part of another war. Despite all this, Pakistan yet to outperform at national fronts. Battle at national fronts is being lost; people’s agonies are multiplying.
Trump looked subdued and issued calculated statements irrespective of being indecent and unlike past when Pakistani leaders were thrashed with harsh statements.
During his address and question-answer session, he invited the world to invest in Pakistan. Further, he categorically rejected war narrative and portrayed Pakistan a peace-loving state which is just seeking tranquility – nation which believes in solving issues through negotiation. Imran Khan rightly said, “War, what is it good for?!” “USA despite spending billions of dollars and slaying thousands of lives is heading towards negotiation for seeking peace in region. Then one is justified to say, “War, what is it good for?!”
Premier Imran Khan boldly took stance against India. He highlighted atrocities committed against residents of Jammu and Kashmir who are under incessant curfew for more than five months now. He even raised voice against RSS overtaking Indian foreign policy and fanning extremism among neighbors.
Pakistani nation wish him success because he is representing Pakistan. Nation wants to see him successful through all odds. However, PTI government is not performing in accordance with portrayed pre-election expectations. Flour crisis is getting severe. Whole sellers and retailers have set their own prices for flour. Mill owners with political patronage have shattered government orders and are hoarding wheat to sell it in black market at rates they desire.
Isn’t it odd to face wheat flour crisis in a country which is thoroughly an agricultural one. On the other side, it is also true that nation has nothing to do with him heading to any other state. Masses are more interested in curbing inflation, hike in daily usage products and issues at hand.
