Since the inception of the man, different civilizations were born, ruled and diminished. Different civilizations were based on different foundations i.e. culture, ethnicity, language, religion, economy etc. Founder of every civilization vowed to rule the world and spread his civilization across the globe but no one could. Civilizations are established and destroyed with the development of time and intellect.
Intellect is not a property to be possessed rather it is a process to be transformed from time to time. With the change of every civilization one thing is identical that intellectual perception of the man has never been the same again.
Every new civilization has given a new impetus to the human brain. What if, a new impetus came during the establishment of a civilization? Whenever, this happened in past, that impetus had been stifled. Any new kind of thinking foreign to the established civilization is a threat to it. The rise of thinkers in Greek civilization sparked an intellectual human revolution. Their blatant criticism on the government and system rendered them vulnerable to the tragic end. Never the less, Greek civilization couldn’t hold its foundation and collapsed because cognitive revolution stemmed its roots before it was considered as a threat.
East and West possess different cultures. East was in misery of all kinds after WWII and had no choice but to follow the civilization being established. Although, they followed the foreign civilization, they didn’t abandon their culture. When West vowed to impose its culture everywhere, they missed the point that their civilization adapted by the East was a need of the time.
Perpetrators or the incumbent saviors of any civilization are bound to protect it and eliminate any threat to it. But, what if, the protectors of civilization couldn’t track the threat? If it happened, the civilization wouldn’t hold its foundation. The tribal civilization was overwhelmed by religious one. Faith is the most important spiritual ingredient in human brain. Instead of tribes, men started being recognized by the religion. Religion provides faith which strengthens man to man bond because for bond to be robust, something in common is necessary.
Man can’t live without a civilization because life cannot be spent unilaterally, civil society is necessary to survive whatever the form may b e. But, what makes a man to think of a new civilization? Why not to live with the same civilization forever? A change is required whenever something becomes obsolete or loses confidence of the public. Same fate was experience d by the religious civilization too. With the rise of nationalism, religious pontiffs tried their level best to crush that menace but did not succeed, why?
Religious civilization couldn’t protect social rights especially freedom of religion and speech. A massive prejudice and hatred between religions, produced by pontiffs themselves, raised a homogenous voice of social liberties. Religion civilization, after ruling a long time in the world, perished. Nation states substituted them.
Nation states were hailed by most of the people as a hope of freedom and equality, they would have been correct if, nation states all across the world were given rights to develop their own culture in their states, unfortunately, it did not happen.
The perpetrators of nation states imposed their culture, wait, imposition o f culture was tried not civilization. Nationalism was hailed by many but when it started the imposition of culture to create an absolute hegemony, clash was inevitable. Culture can’t be changed, whatever the civilization may be adapted. When culture is imposed, hatred with that culture genera ted and anything related to the culture being imposed becomes a menace. Consequently, by the time, clash of cultures is changed to clash of civilization within the civilization. Alas! What can be more dangerous than the clash of civilizations within a civilization?
East and West possess different cultures. East was in misery of all kinds after WWII and had no choice but to follow the civilization being established. Although, they followed the foreign civilization, they didn’t abandon their culture. When West vowed to impose its culture everywhere, they missed the point that their civilization adapted by the East was a need of the time. To change the culture, there have been no need, neither will. Established Western hegemony in post WWII era, fooled them that culture canal so be imposed everywhere. They tried, but mired themselves.
Hence, hatred started simmering against the Western culture, what West couldn’t track. The hatred increased so much against the Western culture that Eastern started thinking of creating their civilization. Out of misery and destitution, more stable and strong, they could afford now what couldn’t then. Unfortunately for West, here comes the inception of a process of the establishment of a civilization within the civilization. Here comes the second decade of the twenty first century.
With resurgent military Russia, blatant economic tycoon China, threatening Iran and historic returning Afghanistan in East, on the other hand, Brexit damaged Britain, impeachment echoing US, irked by yellow jerseys France; there is no reason for East to not assert its power. Shattering of an established civilization is not a good sight. West on a mission to save it but East embarked upon to blow it. An ongoing tug of war between Western and Eastern power is vivid by seeing a world having a fear of economic recession and an all-out conflict between major powers.
World has witnessed, every transformation of civilization was experienced by a massive global conflict, be it Crusades, Thirty Years War, Napoleonic War or World Wars. None can predict the future but can, surely, learn from history. Imposition of culture never has succeeded neither will because there can’t be a homo-cultural but a homo-civilized world. Whenever culture is tried to be imposed, civilization itself collapsed. Conclusively, if disastrous results of imposing culture are true for the contemporary civilization, it won’t be different for the upcoming one.
