A Borderland or a Death-land? It is Balochistan

Since my move from Kech; second largest city of Balochistan, to Hub; an industrial and borderland city of Balochistan, in 2016, I found the rest of senior citizens rich in kvetch demeanor living with endurance of constant fatigues of structural icon of the city.

Hub, a city where a cocktail of norms, ethics and diverse background are living it legacy, cries its right of improvement. It has been deprived of governmental vigor and kept limited in iconic achievement.
Surprisingly, the city witnesses its citizens in routine injurious and sufferings in shape of road accidents and other adverse exhaustion.

Roads in the city all over the world are bridges connecting citizens to nearer approaches. But, here the case is pretty antipodal where the bridges made for quick approach of better result are themselves negative progress causing sufferings, lassitude and prostration.

To put it clear, Hub avouches several of its inhabitants breathing last on the roads due to traffic rush and road accidents. Recently, a student named Manzur Chutta Baloch, who was gunned down by unknown people in his shop and due to absence of proper treatment in the city, was rushed to Karachi for treatment. But, he breathed last because of heavy traffic in ambulance.

“The funds allocated for the road construction are all in vein. The more the road times longer, the havoc hangs around repeatedly destructive kilter. Students are never on time in their classes. I myself experience a number of my students skipping classes due to heavy traffic, they came with excuses of the following mentioned reason.”

A city that probably connects entire Balochistan to Karachi and other parts of the country is disastrous and pretty weak to boost comforts to its travelers. A number of students are depressed riding on this road. Educationally, Hub city devitalizes higher education inside. Students from the city intending to join higher education probably appear for Karachi University and due to domestic issues like me and some other friends find riding from Hub to Karachi is the only option left to proceed on the study. This long route and dilapidated state of road could make us predict nothing but unsafe returns.

Each year, a number of people die due to road accidents.

On July, January 2019, in Hub Balochistan, a passenger bus collided with a tank truck that left 26 people died and 16 more suffered from burn injuries as a result of the accident. That could be the greatest disaster of the following year happened in the city and made us remorse on the loss of our beloveds. This all happened because of poor state of roads.

Correspondingly, recently, a son along father riding from Daro; a colony in Hub,  to Bazaar by bike were crashed on road by a long vehicle and at the time of accident father cried the loss of his apple of eye and father himself remained extremely injured. The history of Hub’s road cries at its each page a loss of an innocent citizen.

What’s worse than mentioned above is the fatigue of long vehicles and local buses of Karachi to Hub. The dilapidated condition is due to the following transportation modes. There has never been a gap that could make us different and functional long-term. Recently, the construction of the road is in progress. But, I too sigh remorse for the rich province’s poor progress. The construction has been started a month ago and so far per KM is not celebrated successful. Each week the construction of few feet proceeds on. This routine fun of making citizens happy for getting them upgraded road is too much disturbance for the transportation in the city and causing much dust.

The funds allocated for the road construction are all in vein. The more the road times longer, the havoc hangs around repeatedly destructive kilter. Students are never on time in their classes. I myself experience a number of my students skipping classes due to heavy traffic, they came with excuses of the following mentioned reason.

This industrial and borderland city prefers peace and prosperity to demolition and wreckage. The number of employee in constructing road if seems less should be increased in order to come up an earlier outcome of successful construction. Along this, there must be designed a pedestrian for the people. Also, federal government must improve dualization of Hub to Makran and Quetta highways to avoid the number of death caused by road accidents.
